In-Person Therapy
I love using the latest computer-based technology in therapy to treat our patient's. However in-person therapy is essential if we are going to improve the visual skills necessary to read, learn, comprehend, or even pay attention.
Our office delivers one-on-one treatment with either a doctor or qualified therapist. A specialized therapist can effectively adjust and modify treatment based on observations of eye movements, body movements, and even non-verbal communication.
In-person therapy also affords flexibility in treatment. Many patients, for example, come to us for concerns in academics; however report after therapy not only has school performance improved but tasks such as climbing and descending stairs, riding a bicycle, fielding a baseball all have improved.
What I have learned over my 20+ years of doing vision therapy is that "space" is king. Utilizing computer software is important to us. It's engaging and has value; however there is no substitute to in person therapy.
